We went to Pop's house and ate lunch with the kid's grandma after church. She had just returned from a trip to Australia so she had stories and pictures to share. Here are pictures of the kids playing at Pop and Grandma's house with some of my husband's old toys.
My family came over for dinner and so I spent most of the day cleaning the house and cooking. I literally vacuumed every room in the house, washed the kitchen floor, did about 5 loads of laundry, washed all the sheets, made beds, and dusted places that I'd never dusted before. I was really hoping all of my activity would induce labor, but Baby O stayed content inside of me.
I had a doctor's appointment in the morning and then took the kids over to Lipscomb University to walk the campus and visit their Gran. They love to pet the big Bison and it was such a beautiful day.
L was given his class pet "Lucy" to take home for a couple days, so we spent the day entertaining Lucy the Lion. He showed her all of his toys, read books to her, took her for a ride in a rollerskate, took her to story time at the Library, and to the park to play... But her favorite thing (according to L), was building towers, cars, and scary monsters with Legos.
I took E to our favorite park while L was in preschool. When L is with us she'll play with him, but without him, all she wanted to do was swing. I literally pushed her on the swing for 45 minutes until I convinced her to get down and play... and then she only sat on a bench and ate a snack. So, I successfully wore myself out, but she didn't even take a nap.
I took the kids to the Monkey's Treehouse (an indoor playground) here in town to keep them busy. They ran around for a couple hours in the morning, we went home for lunch and a nap, and then returned for another hour and a half in the afternoon.
